We are taking the necessary steps to keep you safe during your visit; we have the added benefit of our secluded location and having just six rooms on site, which naturally limit interaction. Our calming environment surrounded by nature and the warmth of Costa Rica might be just what you need.

Before You Travel
There are a few things to acquire before you travel to Costa Rica. The first is proof of traveler’s insurance. Specifically insurance that will cover any medical and accommodation expenses due to Covid-19. Insurance can be obtained through INS – Instituto Nacional de Seguros or Sagicor. We at Los Altos de Eros can assist in arranging the necessary insurance and accompanying paperwork.
You will also need to take a Covid test* no more than 72 hours prior to departure and test negative. You must bring the results with you and present them to authorities upon arrival. You will also need to verify that you do not have any Covid symptoms nor have you been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid or who has had symptoms.
* As of November 1, 2020, negative test are no longer required for entry into the country.
Upon Arrival in Costa Rica
For international travelers, entry into the country must be done through one of the following three airports: SJO or SYQ in San Jose or LIR in Liberia. A passport is required for entry into the country, and for citizens of the United States a driver’s license or state identification is also required to show proof of residence in one of the approved states.
SJO has produced an informational video to show you what to expect upon arrival and the steps they are taking to keep passengers safe both on arrival and departure.
Upon Arrival at Los Altos de Eros
Upon arrival, guests’ temperature will be taken and we highly recommend avoiding shaking hands, washing your hands at your arrival and as often as possible, sneezing and coughing appropriately by covering your mouth and using your forearm. For spa services, a shower prior before treatment is recommended. We have enhanced our health and safety precautions to comply with the recommendations and guidelines set by the World Health Organization (WHO) as well as the Ministerio de Salud Costa Rica. Our staff have regular temperature checks and are required to wear both masks and gloves. We have also installed hand sanitizer in various locations around the property and have expanded our dining options to include in-room meal service.
We are confident in our ability to provide an exceptional experience to our guests during this time while ensuring the safety of everyone. Our property’s location is ideal for relaxing and rejuvenating during this tumultuous time, being removed from town and surrounded by dense forests. All our dining and spa services are currently open, and we are ready to provide you with the very best service.
We are so excited to welcome our guests back; we’re here when you’re ready.
